Langley - "the Village by the Sea" - is a beautiful city on the south end of Whidbey Island. It's a mecca for artists and has a wealth of small art galleries, independent bookstores, and antique shops to explore. With its location adjacent to Puget Sound, Whidbey Island is famous for its fresh seafood as well as water sports. If you are looking to venture a little bit further from the Motel, then Whidbey Island is just a short 50 minutes away across the sound from Seattle.

Deception Pass State Park

If you are looking for beauty, majestic views, AND an exhilarating trip across a high bridge, then Deception Pass State Park is the spot for you. As Washington's most visited state park, it attracts travelers and locals alike. There's an activity for everyone at the park from hiking, boating, and horseback riding. Open year round for both camping and day use.

Langley Whale Center

The Langley Whale Center located at the south end of Whidbey Island is the perfect spot to learn more about these amazing marine mammals. The center is a project of the Orca Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining safe and healthy habitats for these animals in the Pacific Northwest.

Meerkerk Gardens

When you step into this enchanting woodland garden designed and created by Max and Ann Meerkerk, it's as if you have stepped into a different time and place. Make sure to plan for plenty of time to explore the nearly 53 acres of gardens and forest preserve so you can take in the full amount of beauty here.
